THE TRAFFORD CENTRE
Head of Asset Management 2016 - 2021
Strategic asset and leasing management responsibility for The Trafford Centre and the redevelopment of Barton Square.
- Drove asset performance to an all time peak annual net operating income of £95m and valuation of £2.33bn
- Overhauled the 10 year business plan and reset the vision for the retail and leisure mix for the 2 million sq ft asset.
- Led the leasing team to countless successes while maintaining occupancy rate above 95% and achieving UK firsts with numerous brands including Abercrombie & Fitch and Polestar.
- Delivered the new Primark anchor store for the redevelopment of Barton Square and developed the leasing and tenant mix strategy while building a pipeline of deals including Decathlon and Nerf Action Experience, another UK first.
WESTFIELD EUROPE
Leasing Manager 2007-2016
Key leasing roles across the UK business in both operational shopping centres and new development projects.
Westfield Derby
The 1.1 million sq ft development was the first by Westfield in the UK and transformed the city's retail and leisure landscape, catapulting it into the top 30 destinations in the UK.
Nick led the leasing function taking an active role in more than 30 transactions per year alongside developing and implementing a 5 year asset management strategy that underpinned a successful exit for Westfield in 2014.
The Broadway Bradford
The largest shopping centre to open in the UK in 2015 launched more than 90% leased, ahead of its ambitious target and delivering on all tenant mix objectives.
Nick was responsible for scheme layout and tenant mix planning alongside pre-leasing activity prior to start on site and the subsequent leasing campaign including marketing strategy, budgeting and an active role in leasing transactions.
